• Resolve questions related to diagnoses, procedures, clinical documentation, and code selection through research and communication to ensure billing at the correct reimbursement level
• Understand the relationship between CPT and ICD codes and apply coding principles accurately for physician services
• Apply Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) reimbursement regulations and claims submission timeliness requirements
• Maintain confidentiality of patient, employee, and other regulated information
• Understand commercial insurance contractual adjustments and balance billing
