This role focuses on reviewing clinical documentation, identifying and assigning appropriate medical codes, performing coding quality audits, resolving discrepancies, and helping improve coding accuracy and revenue cycle performance.
This position allows telecommuting from anywhere within the U.S.
Requirements & Qualifications
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of experience with documentation for procedures, supplies, and E&M levels, including ED, OB, and OBS
- Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office
- Intermediate experience with EHR systems, specifically Epic
Preferred qualifications
- CPC from AAPC or CCS, RHIT, or RHIA from AHIMA
