Newcastle Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Clinical Coder to review clinical documentation and assign accurate diagnostic and procedural codes using ICD-10 and OPCS-4.
This role supports income capture, planning, and clinical benchmarking by ensuring patient records are coded correctly and consistently. The position offers exposure to complex coding scenarios across a major NHS trust, with opportunities for development, audit participation, and mentoring.
Remote or hybrid working may be available for Band 5 Senior Clinical Coders once appropriately trained and performing consistently, subject to team lead agreement. Staff may be required to attend the office for training, updates, or team connection.
