HealthRecon Connect is seeking an experienced Inpatient Rehabilitation (IP Rehab) Medical Coder to handle a mix of coding and administrative responsibilities. The role includes accurate IP Rehab coding, documentation review, query support, coding audits, denial reviews, appeals, and operational support.
The position requires strong attention to detail, coding accuracy, compliance with applicable guidelines, and the ability to balance coding work with administrative tasks while meeting productivity and quality standards.
Active CPC, CCS, or CCS-P certification.
At least 2 years of recent Inpatient Rehabilitation (IP Rehab) coding experience.
Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CMS IRF guidelines, coding compliance, and payer requirements.
Experience with 3M Encoder, Epic, Cerner, Codify, Citrix, or other EHR/EMR systems preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and experience with administrative and reporting tasks.
Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
Ability to balance coding responsibilities with administrative support while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
High attention to detail and commitment to coding accuracy and compliance.
