Willamette Valley Cancer Institute, Oregon’s largest private oncology practice and a member of the US Oncology network, is seeking a Coding Specialist to join the team. Under direct supervision, this role performs medical record coding activities and assigns appropriate diagnostic codes to patient charts and reports. The position also supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
The general pay scale for this position is $21-$35 per hour. Actual hiring rate depends on factors such as prior work experience, education, job responsibilities, location, and work performance.
This is an onsite office-based role in Eugene, Oregon.
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of a course in medical terminology
- CPC certification required
- Minimum 1 year of medical coding experience required; 3 years preferred
- Knowledge of medical records coding procedures and ICD-10 and CPT-4 coding systems highly desirable
