Presbyterian Healthcare Services is hiring a Remote Multispecialty Pro Fee Coder to support the Coding and Documentation Quality Assurance (CDQA) team.
This role focuses on coding compliance, internal audits, documentation review, billing review, denied and appealed claims review, and the development and delivery of education and corrective action plans. The position also supports enterprise-wide coding policies, external regulatory compliance, and coordination with affected payers.
The job is remote for workers in New Mexico and follows a varied day and hour schedule.
High school diploma or GED required.
Must possess at least one of the following certifications:
- RHIT
- RHIA
- CPC
- CCS
At least 3 years of coding and/or auditing experience required.
Additional qualifications include:
- Audit experience preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented and results-oriented
- Ability to work independently and make independent decisions
- Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT-4, and HCPCS
- Proficient knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and other third-party payer documentation, coding, and billing regulations
- Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Ability to research regulations using the internet and other reference tools
- Ability to communicate complex regulatory information clearly to management at all levels
