Hawai'i Pacific Health is a not-for-profit health care network serving Hawai'i and the Pacific Region through medical centers, clinics, physicians, and caregivers. In this role, you will abstract patient information from medical records and other sources, assign diagnosis and procedure codes, and maintain accurate and complete coding data for reimbursement, tracking, and reporting. You will also communicate with physicians and Revenue Management staff to ensure information is transferred accurately and securely in compliance with federal and state laws and regulations.
This position is based at First Insurance Center and follows a day shift schedule.
Minimum qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certified Procedural Coder (CPC) certification
- Valid driver's license and current Hawai'i auto insurance
Preferred qualifications
- Two years of billing, clerical, or clinical experience in health care
- One year of ICD and CPT coding experience
