As a Profee Coder with Parallon, you will review and code clinical notes and operative reports for at least one specialty. You will provide feedback and documentation guidance to physicians, practice management, and other coders, and work with the denials team to resolve coding-related denials. You will also support Central Coding by helping maintain a strong service-focused coding operation that meets customer expectations.
Requirements & Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of professional fee coding and/or reimbursement experience required; relevant education may substitute for experience
- Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy and physiology preferred
- Knowledge of pathophysiology preferred
- AHIMA or AAPC coding certification required; work experience may be accepted in lieu of credential
