We are seeking an experienced Remote Anesthesia Medical Coder to join a growing team on a contract-to-hire basis. The ideal candidate will have strong anesthesia coding experience, understand anesthesia crosswalks and flat-rate billing, and be able to accurately identify medical direction within provider documentation. Tennessee anesthesia billing guideline experience is highly preferred.
The client is a nationally recognized anesthesia management organization focused on delivering high-quality, data-driven anesthesia services. This role supports a collaborative coding team with strong potential for long-term employment.
Requirements & Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of recent anesthesia coding experience
- Strong knowledge of anesthesia coding guidelines, crosswalks, and medical direction
- Experience with general surgery and pain management coding
- Tennessee anesthesia billing guideline experience preferred, or ability to learn quickly
- Experience with Imagine or PhyGen billing systems is a plus
- Familiarity with Epic, AAPC Codify, and anesthesia coding tools preferred
- CPC required; CANPC strongly preferred
- AHIMA certifications will also be considered
- Excellent communication skills, strong work ethic, positive attitude, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced remote environment
