Northwest Florida Community Hospital is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Clinic Biller/Coder to support clinic billing, coding, and claims processing. The role is responsible for accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding; submission and follow-up of insurance claims; resolution of denials and billing discrepancies; and support of the clinic revenue cycle to ensure timely reimbursement and compliance.
The position is based in a hospital/clinic setting in Chipley, FL and requires regular communication with providers, staff, patients, and insurance companies.
Requirements & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1–2 years of medical billing and/or coding experience, preferably in a clinic or physician practice setting
- Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and billing systems
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
- Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance billing preferred
- CPC, CCS, or CBCS certification preferred
