Experienced ABA billing specialist needed to join a dynamic team supporting billing operations for autism services.
The role involves independent judgment while following established policies, procedures, regulations, and best practices. The position is 100% remote for candidates located in Texas only.
Key responsibilities include charge capture, coding, billing edits, claims submission, accounts receivable support, denial resolution, reimbursement tracking, and coordination with providers and leadership to maintain accurate and compliant billing workflows.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- 3+ years of billing and coding experience in ABA therapy
- In-depth knowledge of medical billing; pediatric billing experience preferred
- Experience with a robust practice management/EMR system, preferably Central Reach and Waystar
Required skills and abilities
- Comprehensive knowledge of coding, billing, processes, and requirements
- Knowledge of local payers and claims resolution processes
- Knowledge of physician practice technology related to creating, transmitting, and collecting claims
- Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, neurology, and medical terminology
- Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally
- Ability to work independently with detail and accuracy
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to act with discretion, tact, and professionalism
- Ability to work in a remote or hybrid environment
- Ability to work well within a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
