As a Reimbursement Services Representative, you will support timely and accurate billing by confirming coverage details, resolving missing information, and keeping patient accounts current in a fully remote setting. This role helps reduce reimbursement delays and ensures patients and payers have clear, correct documentation.
A typical day includes reviewing paper denials received by mail, organizing follow-up items, using payer portals and phone calls to confirm current coverage, and documenting updates in patient records. You will also work assigned queues, reports, emails, and denial documentation to keep accounts moving and prevent aging balances. When patients cannot be reached, you will prepare and mail termination letters and process returned mail appropriately.
