Key responsibilities include:
- Researching patient and insurance credit balances from online work lists and requesting appropriate refunds
- Processing refund requests from insurance companies and responsible parties in a timely manner
- Authorizing and processing credit balances requested by staff within department limits
- Serving as a resource for billing office staff regarding credit balances
