Imagine Pediatrics is a tech-enabled, pediatrician-led medical group focused on reimagining care for children with special health care needs. The organization provides 24/7 virtual-first and in-home medical, behavioral, and social care, working alongside families, providers, and health plans.
This role blends medical billing and coding responsibilities to support accurate claims submission, compliance, payment, and workflow improvement. The specialist collaborates across providers, data, revenue cycle, clinical operations, and partner teams to reduce denials and strengthen documentation practices.
Key responsibilities include submitting clean claims, resolving denials and underpayments, validating eligibility and authorization, reviewing provider documentation, assigning accurate codes, supporting documentation improvement, maintaining billing rules, and helping train providers on coding and compliance practices.
- AAPC Certified Professional Coder (CPC) required
- 3–5 years of experience in physician billing and coding; pediatrics preferred
- Proficiency with Athena EMR and Microsoft Excel
- Strong knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10, HEDIS, and Medicaid/commercial payer requirements
- Experience with telehealth billing, value-based care, capitation models, and quality measures is a plus
- Salary range of $55,000–$65,000 annually
