Assists in monitoring billing-related functions in an efficient manner consistent with department policies and procedures.
- Resolve complex Workers' Compensation billing situations, denials, and payment discrepancies.
- Prepare and submit comprehensive appeals for denied or underpaid claims, including drafting appeal letters.
- Manage revenue cycle processes, including denial management and follow-up.
- Conduct follow-up on outstanding Workers' Compensation accounts receivable with payers, adjusters, and legal representatives.
- Manage high-volume work queues, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet strict deadlines.
- Analyze Workers' Compensation fee schedules and reimbursement payment terms to identify discrepancies and ensure accurate expected payments.
- Apply knowledge of Workers' Compensation laws, rules, and regulations.
- Use CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding knowledge, with emphasis on Workers' Compensation coding requirements.
- Epic HB/PB experience is strongly preferred.
