The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Central Business Office is hiring a full-time Revenue Cycle Analyst.
The Revenue Cycle Analyst is responsible for accurately processing patient and financial data to maximize revenue while maintaining compliance with applicable billing guidelines. This role also supports audit and reconciliation of accounts.
Core responsibilities
- Develop audit tools to track and monitor audit outcomes.
- Hold meetings to discuss data analysis results and possible corrective actions.
- Analyze non-governmental payer contracts and ensure contractual adjustments are accurate.
- Review and validate billing accounts and communicate findings to appropriate staff.
- Identify and correct special circumstances affecting delayed submission of payments.
- Review billing information for accuracy and completeness, and correct issues as needed.
- Stay informed of statutory and regulatory changes affecting job duties.
- Escalate issues and situations within the division when appropriate.
- Follow University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguard University assets.
Requirements & Qualifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience required.
- Applicable certification requirements may be specified by the department.
Skills and abilities
- Ability to learn new procedures, technologies, and protocols and adapt to changing priorities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency with office software, technology, and relevant computer applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
