As a Profee Coder with Parallon, you will review and code clinical notes and operative reports for an assigned specialty. You will provide documentation feedback and coding advice to physicians, practice management, and other coders, and collaborate with the denials team to resolve coding-related denials.
You will help ensure complete charge capture, timely charge entry, and accurate coding compliance while maintaining current knowledge of coding guidelines and federal regulations.
Requirements & Qualifications
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of professional fee coding and/or reimbursement experience required
- Relevant education may substitute for experience
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology preferred
- Knowledge of pathophysiology preferred
- AHIMA or AAPC coding certification required; work experience may be accepted in lieu of credential
