Responsible for researching insurance billing and adjustment issues, resolving account balances, and ensuring proper account resolution in accordance with payer and regulatory guidelines.

Requirements & Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience with billing and follow-up of hospital/physician claims
- Knowledge of paper and electronic billing
- Working knowledge of Medicare, Medi-Cal, CCS, Cal-Optima, private insurance, PPO, and HMO plans
- Understanding of payer contracts
- Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding
Education
- High school diploma or GED required
- Some college or related coursework preferred
