Responsibilities include processing medical claims and billing transactions, monitoring unpaid accounts, investigating outstanding balances, pursuing collections follow-up, reviewing denied or rejected claims, preparing appeals with supporting documentation, handling hospital billing tasks according to payer guidelines, communicating with insurance carriers and patients, and maintaining organized billing records.
- Prior hands-on experience in medical billing and healthcare collections
- Proven ability to work denials and manage appeals through resolution
