Full-time, day shift position. Certified medical coders review and analyze patient medical records to ensure accurate coding and compliance with medical and legal standards. The role involves coding cases using ICD-10-CM and coding outpatient and specialty services accurately and productively according to federal, state, AHIMA, and hospital guidelines. The position is on-site and may require supporting department or hospital functions outside the traditional scope of activities when qualified to do so.
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) required • Associate degree (AAS) in Health Information Management from a two-year college or technical school preferred; bachelor's degree preferred • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite • Must be willing to work 100% on-site • CPC-A mentioned in the posting, but CPC is required
