This is a full-time, contract-to-hire position with a hospital system focused on inpatient coding. The role involves abstracting ICD-10-CM/PCS codes with limited reliance on CAC.
- 100% remote, but candidates must reside in Texas
- 40 hours per week with flexible start times
- Contract-to-hire opportunity
- Inpatient coding across multiple service lines, including Cardiology, Spine Surgery, General Surgery, ICU, Orthopedics, and Behavioral Health
- Observation coding experience is a plus, with training available
- Paid travel for a one-day orientation after conversion to permanent employment and one annual company town hall
Requirements & Qualifications
- Strong inpatient coding experience
- Ability to abstract ICD-10-CM/PCS codes without relying heavily on CAC
- AHIMA certification required
- CCS certification preferred
- Must reside in Texas
