This role is for a HIM Coder at the Huber Heights location. The coder will support inpatient medical record coding, clinical documentation improvement, quality assurance, and other Health Information Management functions.
• High School Diploma or GED required • Associate's degree in Health Information Management, Medical Coding, or a healthcare-related field preferred • Current or eligible AHIMA or AAPC credential required • Minimum of 1 year of coding experience within an acute care hospital setting required • Experience with ICD-10, DRG optimization, and abstracting clinical information for billing preparation and statistical purposes required • Annual coding training required
