We are partnering with one of the nation's largest healthcare systems to expand their inpatient coding team in support of a major Epic implementation. This is an excellent remote opportunity for experienced inpatient coders who enjoy working on complex, high-acuity cases in a collaborative environment.
The role focuses on accurate inpatient coding for acute care hospital records, quality and compliance, and support for a large-scale Epic transition.
Requirements & Qualifications
Qualifications
- CCS, RHIT, or RHIA certification required
- 4+ years of acute care inpatient coding experience
- Experience coding complex inpatient hospital cases
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS guidelines
- Experience using Epic and/or 3M Encoder preferred
- Provider query experience preferred
- Experience with teaching hospitals, trauma centers, or other high-acuity facilities highly desired
Preferred specialty experience
- Cardiovascular
- Interventional Radiology (IR)
- NICU
- Orthopedics
- Neurology
- OB / Mother-Baby
