AltaMed is seeking a Certified Coder I to support compliant billing, reimbursement, quality reporting, and regulatory requirements. In this role, you will review medical documentation and assign accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and applicable modifier codes. You will also perform routine coding review, charge reconciliation, and provider education under general supervision while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
Requirements & Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 1 year of medical coding, charge review, billing edits, or healthcare revenue cycle experience
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) required, or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) preferred within six months of hire if not already obtained
