Busy North OKC billing office is seeking an organized, self-motivated, and results-oriented individual for a full-time Receipt Posting Specialist role.
This position is responsible for posting all payments, adjustments, denials, and zero payments received into the Central Business Office to the current accounts receivable system. The role ensures that posted transactions balance daily against bank deposits and supports accurate reimbursement, compliance, and efficient revenue cycle operations.
Key duties include posting insurance and patient payments, applying contractual adjustments, balancing payment batches, resolving posting discrepancies, researching out-of-balance batches, documenting account activity, and coordinating with payors, patients, and internal teams to ensure correct application of payments and adjustments.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in medical billing, collections, or payment posting
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Some college preferred
- Experience with HMS, Epic, or Allscripts PM preferred
- Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Proficiency in 10-key posting
- Strong attention to detail and basic mathematical skills
- Ability to work under strict timelines and meet high productivity goals with minimal errors
- Ability to interpret explanation of benefits and understand payment and adjustment posting rules
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain professional relationships with clients, physicians, facilities, co-workers, management, payors, and banking contacts
