RAYUS Radiology is seeking an Insurance Denials Specialist I to investigate denied or unpaid claims and take the necessary steps to support medical billing and collections. This role works with patients, insurance carriers, co-workers, and referral sources to resolve denials efficiently and help improve accounts receivable performance.
This is a full-time, 100% remote position with a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
Requirements & Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year of experience in a medical billing department, provider front office, imaging center operations, prior authorization department, or payer claim processing department
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
- Proficient with computer systems and typing
Preferred:
- Graduate of an accredited medical billing program
- Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
- Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes
