Dane Street is seeking highly motivated coders, bill reviewers, and payment integrity reviewers to support a new group health program. In this role, you will review medical records and related reports to confirm that medical billing information and coding are accurate, communicate with other reviewers and office teams, and ensure cases are returned within client deadlines.
You will apply clinical knowledge to evaluate code appropriateness, match records to codes, review claims for criteria and conflict-of-interest issues, and provide an additional level of quality assurance for complex cases.
Must have one of the following certifications: CPC, APCC, CMBS, or DRG coder.
Preferred qualifications:
- Payment integrity or professional bill review experience
- Out-of-network bill review experience
- Prior experience working in a remote environment
- Medical office or healthcare background
Required skills:
- Ability to work with urgency and meet deadlines
- Self-motivated with a strong drive for performance excellence
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with multiple computer programs, including Google Chrome, Gmail, Docs, and Sheets
- Strong attention to detail
