Healthcare Outcomes Performance Company (HOPCo) is a vertically integrated musculoskeletal outcomes management company that supports physician practices, hospital service lines, population health and value-based care programs, and musculoskeletal delivery networks.
HOPCo is seeking a Payment and Reconciliation Specialist for its corporate headquarters. This role is responsible for medical billing payment posting, reconciliation, and refund processing within the revenue cycle.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education
- High school diploma or GED
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing and/or cash applications, or equivalent healthcare experience
- Previous cash posting experience in a multiple lockbox environment preferred
Knowledge
- Knowledge of revenue cycle processes
- Knowledge of computer systems; Centricity patient management system experience preferred
- Knowledge of physician billing processes, including insurance eligibility and coordination of benefits
Skills and Abilities
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to interpret insurance documents, including eligibility responses and explanation of benefits (EOB)
- Ability to prepare postings and reconcile daily receipts
- Ability to use computer programs and Microsoft applications
- Ability to type at least 40 words per minute
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers
