Certified Medical Coder

We're looking for a detail-oriented medical coder to join a healthcare team. The ideal candidate has experience assigning accurate medical codes, maintaining compliance with coding guidelines, and supporting efficient billing and reimbursement processes.
Responsibilities include assigning accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes, reviewing clinical documentation for accuracy, working with providers and billing staff to resolve coding questions, and helping identify coding errors and process improvements.
Requirements & Qualifications
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or equivalent certification preferred
- 1+ years of medical coding experience preferred
- Knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and medical billing software
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills
