Medical scribes work alongside doctors in clinical settings such as outpatient offices and emergency departments. You will record patient history, exams, test results, prescriptions, and other visit details using electronic health record systems while helping the care team stay organized and efficient.
Both full-time and part-time schedules are available, with on-site work matched to the clinic or department best suited to your availability, interests, and location.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 18 years old and authorized to work in the U.S.
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM
- Fluent in English, including reading, writing, and speaking
- Strong listening and communication skills
- Flexible schedule availability
- Ability to stand, sit, and use a computer for several hours a day
- Proof of vaccinations may be required
- Access to a laptop for training
