Medical Biller

TEKsystems

Review, scrub, and submit electronic claims daily for professional medical services.

Monitor claim status and follow up on unpaid, rejected, or pending claims.

Investigate, analyze, and resolve claim denials and payment discrepancies.

Submit corrected claims and appeals as necessary.

Work closely with providers, clinical staff, and management to resolve billing issues.

Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and eligibility to ensure billing accuracy.

Post and reconcile payments, adjustments, and insurance remittances as needed.

Maintain compliance with payer regulations, HIPAA requirements, and billing best practices.

Generate and review accounts receivable reports to identify trends and areas requiring follow-up.

Assist with other revenue cycle functions as assigned.

Requirements & Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of medical billing experience, preferably in a specialty practice setting.

Strong knowledge of medical billing processes, claim submission, insurance verification, and denial management.

Experience working with commercial insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid payers.

Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and practice management systems.

Experience with Unlimited Financial Systems (UFS) is strongly preferred.

Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding principles.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Effective written and verbal communication skills.

High school diploma.
