AGS Health is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Certified Medical Coder to support remote coding operations for healthcare providers across the U.S. The role focuses on accurate code assignment, documentation review, compliance, and collaboration with providers to improve coding quality and documentation accuracy.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assign ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes accurately for medical records
- Review clinical documentation for coding accuracy and compliance
- Perform anesthesia coding
- Ensure adherence to coding guidelines, payer policies, and compliance regulations
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and support improvements
- Maintain productivity and quality benchmarks
Requirements & Qualifications
- Certification required: CPC, CCS, COC, or equivalent
- 1–3 years of medical coding experience in U.S. healthcare
- Experience in anesthesia coding
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
