Join Regions Hospital as a Health Information Coding Analyst II on a remote coding team supporting a multi-hospital health system.
This role focuses on accurate inpatient coding, including ICD-10-CM/PCS assignment and MS-DRG/APR-DRG grouping for acute-care encounters. The position supports coding accuracy, compliance, timely completion, quality reporting, reimbursement, and organizational performance.
Key responsibilities
- Complete coding analysis for each individual patient stay.
- Provide accurate diagnoses, procedures, and other relevant database information for financial reimbursement and statistical reporting.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Work schedule is full-time, Monday through Friday, with flexible remote hours. Candidates must live in MN, WI, IA, ND, or SD.
Required qualifications
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in health information, completion of a coding specialist program, or successful completion of an AHIMA or AAPC coding credential exam.
- 3-5 years of experience in ICD-10/CPT coding.
- One or more of the following certifications: CCA, CIC, COC, CCS, CPC, HCS, CEDC, CCS-P, RHIT, or RHIA.
Preferred qualifications
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in health information or completion of a coding specialist program.
- 5+ years of experience in ICD-10/CPT coding.
- One or more of the following certifications: CCA, CIC, COC, CCS, CPC, HCS, CEDC, RHIT, or RHIA.
