The Monroe location is seeking a detailed Health Information Technician/Coder to process discharge charts, perform ICD-10 coding, assemble and analyze charts, and complete data entry across multiple systems. The role also supports the HIM department by scanning charts, assisting the ROI Coordinator, completing departmental tasks, and helping the Director of HIM as needed. This position helps maintain accurate patient records for in-house patients and supports compliance with federal and state regulations, licensing requirements, and Joint Commission standards.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience:
- 2+ years of administrative experience
- 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting required
Additional requirements:
- CPC, CCS, RHIT, or RHIA certification required
- Successful completion of Verbal De-Escalation, Handle with Care, and CPR certifications during new hire training
