Process, analyze, and ensure medical records are complete within required time frames. Maintain the integrity of the electronic medical record through data analysis, review, and reporting. Provide timely responses to requests for medical information in accordance with departmental and hospital release-of-information guidelines.

Associate's degree from an accredited Health Information Technology program is required; experience may not substitute for this education requirement.
Current certification or eligibility to sit for the national exam for Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) through AHIMA is required.
If eligible, RHIT or RHIA certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
