Inpatient Coder

Leading healthcare organization seeking 4 experienced Inpatient Coders to support its Health Information Management team in reducing coding backlogs while maintaining exceptional coding quality and accuracy.

This is a 100% remote opportunity for experienced acute care inpatient coders. The role offers a flexible schedule, a straightforward interview process, and the potential for extension beyond the initial 6-month contract.

Schedule

• 100% remote
• Sunday through Saturday availability
• Flexible schedule between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM EST
• 40 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Review and assign ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes for acute inpatient encounters
• Ensure coding accuracy in accordance with Official Coding Guidelines and Coding Clinic
• Assign accurate MS-DRGs based on clinical documentation
• Maintain productivity and quality expectations while working independently
• Collaborate with CDI and other internal teams when documentation clarification is needed
• Help reduce coding backlogs while maintaining high coding quality
