The Medical Records Auditor supports the overall functioning of the facility by monitoring and auditing standards of person-served care and the quality of the electronic health record. This role helps ensure quality improvement standards remain current and compliant with the facility’s level of care.
The position also supports staff development, infection control, medical records, and quality improvement efforts while collaborating with the QA committee and program leadership at the facility level. The auditor monitors compliance with licensing and accrediting policies and regulations.
Crestwood Center San Jose Psychiatric Health Facility provides behavioral health and psychiatric stabilization services in a residential setting focused on recovery, self-empowerment, and successful transition back to the community.
Qualifications
- Degree in a health-related field and/or two years of experience in health care education
- At least one year of experience in medical records and/or quality improvement preferred
- Experience working with health care agencies and/or regulatory agencies
- Knowledge of Title 9, Title 22, OSHA, HCAI, HIPAA, and CARF
- Ability to support performance improvement data collection, analysis, and implementation of QA plans
