Compiles and maintains statistics for the department and other areas. Maintains integrity of the Master Patient Index (MPI). Prepares monthly birth and death reports for the State of Tennessee. Provides support to staff during peak workloads and fills in during vacations and holidays. Analyzes and monitors reports, assists with quality improvement activities and special projects, maintains microfilm, helps train new employees, serves as a telephone backup, and acts as a resource person for staff members.

Minimum education

- Preference may be given to candidates with a high school diploma or GED

- Two years of experience in an acute care medical records department preferred
- Detail-oriented
