Routinely audits medical records for required documents and signatures.
- Audits resident, discharged resident, and new admission records on a monthly basis to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Mails forms requiring completion or signature to physicians and maintains physician telephone order logs.
- Organizes and files medical records to ensure accessibility and prompt retrieval.
- Maintains control of release of information and supports authorized record copying with management approval.
- Upholds confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA rules and regulations.
- Assists nursing services with staffing schedules, attendance reporting, and posting schedules.
- Maintains supplies and inventory, prepares invoices as needed, and supports quarterly inventory processes.
This role is based in a healthcare environment and supports medical records, staffing, and supply coordination.
Requirements & Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CNA.
- Additional year of clerical experience in Central Supplies, Medical Records, or Staffing preferred.
- CNA licensure required.
- Basic technical skills with spreadsheets and word processing software.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and perform repetitive, well-defined duties.
- Strong organizational and follow-through skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work effectively with staff, residents, and vendors.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
