Clarksville Rehabilitation Hospital is a brand new startup with 40 private patient suites and is set to take its first patient on June 15, 2026.
The Health Information Specialist is responsible for prepping, scanning, and indexing patient records, analyzing and reporting record completion, releasing patient health information, and providing department customer service to physicians, quality/risk, other internal departments, and external requesters. The role must safeguard the patient's right to privacy and ensure that all releases of information comply with request authorization, company policy, and HIPAA regulations.
Minimum qualifications
- RHIA or RHIT required in the following states only: Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, and Colorado
- One year of prior experience in a hospital medical records department
- Strong computer experience
