Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Medical insurance experience
- Minimum 1 year of receptionist, cashier, or related experience
- Minimum 1 year of healthcare experience
Responsibilities
- Complete pre-registration for new clients
- Schedule appointments and patient orientations
- Monitor patient activity on center premises
- Provide customer service and respond to patient inquiries
- Collect co-payments and patient financial responsibility at time of service
- Enter demographic, billing, and clinical information accurately and in a timely manner
- Communicate with program leadership, physicians, and nursing staff regarding intakes
- Verify insurance benefits and obtain prior authorization as needed
- Perform administrative tasks such as answering phones, checking and delivering mail, and maintaining supply inventory
