HealthMark Group is a healthcare technology company focused on reimagining administrative processes and release of information (ROI) workflows for healthcare providers. This onsite role supports the medical records and ROI process at the Lebanon, KY client location.
The position is responsible for handling incoming ROI requests, validating requests for the release of protected health information, performing quality checks, maintaining confidentiality and HIPAA compliance, scanning requests into charts, and assisting clients, patients, and requestors with status updates by phone. The role also requires maintaining accurate queues, meeting turnaround-time expectations, and delivering strong customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Complete incoming ROI requests in a timely and efficient manner
- Maintain 100% ROI accuracy
- Complete STAT requests within one hour and other ROI requests within 24 hours
- Keep queues current
- Validate requests and authorize release of PHI according to established procedures
- Perform quality checks to ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and proper invoicing
- Maintain confidentiality, security, and ethical standards for medical records information
- Complete legal affidavits and related questions as needed
- Scan ROI requests into charts
- Follow HealthMark and client-specific ROI policies
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance and orderly work area
- Update facility guides as needed
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with customers
- Assist clients, patients, and requestors with medical records request status by phone
