The Scheduler/Data Entry Specialist is responsible for anesthesia scheduling data collection and data entry, including receiving, collecting, entering, and maintaining data across multiple databases. This role also handles incoming calls from surgeon offices, hospitals, surgery centers, and patients.
The position is eligible for an annual bonus based on company and individual performance.
Requirements & Qualifications
- High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred
- 1–3 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of medical practices and terminology
- Previous surgery scheduling experience preferred but not required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience with a multi-line phone system and ability to manage a high volume of phone and computer work
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business reports, professional journals, technical procedures, and government regulations
- Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the public
- Ability to solve practical problems and interpret a variety of written, oral, diagram, or schedule-based instructions
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Flexible schedule required, with shifts varying from 6:30 am to 6:30 pm and overtime as needed
