As an on-site medical scribe, you will work alongside physicians in settings such as outpatient clinics and emergency departments, documenting patient visits in real time and helping keep records accurate and organized.
What you’ll do
- Document patient visits during appointments
- Record patient history, exams, treatments, test results, and prescriptions
- Use electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Review and track lab and test results
- Follow HIPAA and other privacy rules
- Keep patient charts accurate and up to date
- Send and organize documents for physician review
- Support lab tracking and follow-ups
- Help the clinic run smoothly
Work environment

- Possible settings include doctor’s offices and emergency departments
- Matching to site is based on schedule, interests, and location

Requirements & Qualifications
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 18 years old
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Proof of vaccinations may be required
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM
- Fluent in English reading, writing, and speaking
- Strong listening and communication skills
- Flexible schedule availability
- Ability to stand, sit, and use a computer for several hours a day
- Access to a laptop for training
