Remote opportunity for an experienced Inpatient Medical Coder to join a growing team. This role supports inpatient coding for leading hospitals and health systems nationwide, with flexibility for either full-time or part-time work.
You will assign ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes for inpatient records, review provider documentation, and support accurate MS-DRG reimbursement while maintaining coding compliance and quality standards.
Requirements & Qualifications
- RHIA, RHIT, or CCS (AHIMA), or CIC (AAPC)
- Minimum of 3 years of recent inpatient coding experience preferred
- Experience coding acute care inpatient records
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS, MS-DRGs, and current coding guidelines
- Experience with Epic, Cerner, Meditech, or other major EMR systems preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to coding quality
