An organization is seeking a detail-oriented medical billing and coding specialist to support health care claims review, billing operations, and coding compliance. This is a 2-month temporary assignment with the possibility of extension.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:45 AM to 4:30 PM
Location: Downtown Honolulu, Oahu
Pay: $24.35 per hour
Work location: In person
Experience in health care claims reviews, medical billing, healthcare fraud investigations, and claim coding.
Knowledge of federal and state regulations governing Medicare/Medicaid and managed care systems.
Understanding of healthcare operations, billing, service utilization, and applicable regulations.
Familiarity with community mental health and quality of care standards.
Experience in auditing, billing, and claims operations in healthcare.
Ability to work in a regulated environment and ensure compliance with laws and corporate policies.
Strong productivity, self-discipline, organizational, mathematical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to stay current with ICD-10-CM and AMA CPT codes.
Preferred certifications in billing and coding reviews, medical record management, healthcare fraud investigations, project management, and claims coding.
