Physician Coder - Radiology

This is a full-time, 100% remote position with a flexible schedule.

The Physician Coder - Radiology is responsible for reviewing and accurately coding professional services, including evaluation and management, diagnostics, and procedures in compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party payer guidelines to support accurate reimbursement. The role requires strong prioritization, multitasking, communication, and independent decision-making.

The ideal candidate has recent coding experience in radiology and multispecialty E/M coding, with the ability to adapt to additional specialties and subspecialties as needed.

Requirements & Qualifications

High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.

Must have successfully completed at least one AHIMA- or AAPC-certified program and hold an active credential in good standing such as CCS-P, CPC, or another applicable AAPC stand-alone credential. CPC-A is not accepted. RCC and/or CIRCC credentials are highly preferred.

Minimum of 3 years of physician coding experience with recent hands-on production coding radiology, E/M leveling, and bedside procedures.

Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, disease processes, CPT coding and AMA guidelines, ICD-10-CM coding and guidelines, modifiers, surgical techniques, and Medicare/Medicaid billing policies for professional services.

Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Windows, and electronic health record and billing systems.

Preferred experience includes remote work, Google Workspace, coding beyond radiology, 3M 360 EMR, denials, and auditing.
