The Outpatient Pro Fee Coder is responsible for accurate and timely abstraction of physician services from medical records using ICD-10-CM and ICD-10 coding standards. The role supports documentation accuracy, coding quality, and reimbursement integrity while collaborating with internal teams and client contacts as needed.
This is a remote, part-time position requiring 20-30 hours per week between 6am and 8pm Monday through Friday.
High school diploma or equivalent
Required AHIMA or AAPC certification
Preferred certifications:
- CPC
- CPC-M
- CPMA
- CEMC
- CCS-P
1+ years of outpatient professional fee medical coding experience
Experience with Epic
Advanced knowledge of ICD-10-CM and ICD-10 coding
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Professional-level proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Strong typing skills and effective pace
Proficiency with standard business and office processes and technical applications
