Supports multiple animal studies, including in-vivo animal handling, study take down, tissue collection, dosing, sample processing, and basic data analysis.
Responsible for performing high-quality in vivo studies, recording dosing and study data, preparing equipment and stock solutions, maintaining lab cleanliness and supplies, and following quality, health, safety, security, and environmental policies.
Works independently with limited supervision and may assist with training.
Requirements & Qualifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology or a closely related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with molecular biology techniques
- 1 year of experience dosing and handling mice or rats
- Proficiency in dosing and handling mice and rats
- Ability to collect animal plasma, cerebral spinal fluid, and tissue samples
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Organizational, time management, and prioritization skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Proficiency with Windows, Word, and Excel
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Technical problem-solving and process improvement skills
