UPMC Corporate Revenue Cycle is hiring a Coder II, Profee to join the Coding Department. This is a work-from-home position working Monday through Friday during business hours.
The role focuses on professional (physician) coding denials, including reviewing documentation, determining acuity and billable services, assigning and sequencing codes, and resolving LMRP/CCI edits and coding denials to support accurate reimbursement.
Requirements & Qualifications
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of an approved certified coding program preferred
- Coursework including Anatomy and Physiology, Pharmacology, Pathophysiology, Medical Terminology, ICD-10-CM, and CPT coding guidelines and procedures
- Proficient computer skills; MS Excel knowledge preferred
- Eligible for CPC or CPC specialty certification
- Minimum of 2 years of coding experience with schooling, or at least 3 years of experience, or CPC certification
- Prior denial experience preferred
